Sweater #5 is afoot - This my first attempt at making a sweater with cables. This is my design with one cable on sleeves, left and right cables repeated, starting on sleeves, extending to yoke. I planned cables on entire sweater, and decided less is more for first attempt at cables. Yarn: mohair with silk blend held with strand of Aran tweed aqua, blue green. I added two extra inches in front to open for cardigan. The ribbing is a twisted ribbing, needles, US 10, and body, US 10.75. The bottom band of ribbing is 4 inches, sleeves, 2.5 inches. I will see how far I can take the cables upwards to neck, perhaps stop at 9.5 inches at yoke, but I’ll see as I knit. @edelmacbride_donegal #irish #aranknit
